SS's DOR - Royal

Dor is an immensely satisfying album. Salim Suleiman have shown their talent in this rustic style soundtrack with their trademark suave mixing. Nagesh Kukunoor is making one intelligent movie after another and to add to that hes started repeating SS quite regularly now. That can only mean good news. His last Iqbal had just 1 track by SS but here its a full fledged score.

Creative and innovative people tend to come together to create magic. That's the only explanation I have for Shafqat Amanat Ali's rendition of "Yeh Honsla" - the title track of Dor. SS give a traditional Rajasthani background to this track but its Ali's voice that takes this song to somewhere else. Far higher. After "Mitwa" this is his consecutive sixer.
