Mediocrity and Class
While Bollywood continues to entertain quality-stuff-hungry individuals like me, it disgusts more often than not. There is disappointment that eventually turns to disgust when talented and once-successful film makers shell out cheap products. While directors like Ram Gopal Varma, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Farhan Akhtar and Ashutosh Gowariker are propelling the industry into a new world of technically brilliant, advanced and meaninful yet entertaining cinema people like Subhash Ghai, David Dhawan, Rajiv Rai and Abbas-Mustan who were once right up there, are giving cinema a bad name. While some of their works have been commercially decent, the quality has dropped to abysmal levels. Mujhse Shaadi Karogi (commercially hit), Aitraaz (commerically average), Asambhav (flop) and Kisna (flop) are prime examples of the dropping quality of their vision. While Subhash Ghai is most probably down and out, the rest of the three should hopefully pickup their reins of quality for the betterment of cinema.

It absolutely kills me that Subhash Ghai should now be considered down-and-out. Kisna has recieved such terrible reviews, that nobody is willing to watch it with me... :(( Really, this is the guy who gave us Karz!! He is now so into 'showmanship' that he forgets to add the real bits!!
